Todt's suggestion for Schumi as FIA commissioner

Jean Todt, the great manager that he is...has unfortunately made a wrong assumption in assuming that Schumacher would make a good FIA commissioner. Michael is no doubt a supreme F1 race car driver. The 7 world championships are a testament to his prowess. However, being a FIA commissioner is again a 'management' type role and I am afraid Michael does not possess those skills.
Jean's desire for Schumi as a commissioner I think is based on his great friendship and rapport with Michael.
In a similar fashion, when retired basketball superstar Michael Jordan tried his hand at managing a NBA basketball franchise, he did not do well...simply because while he was a great player and team leader on the field...he lacked the skills of management (in fact during his years at the Chicago Bulls franchise, there general manager Jerry Krause was a good manager even though he was not very well liked by the Bulls players).

Jean Todt as the new FIA president

Jean Todt is a remarkable manager and change agent. His uncanny ability to revitalize the Ferrari Formula 1 team from a sleeping giant to a world class performer is the case in point. It was his vision that brought in the technological brilliance of Ross Brawn combined with the supreme driving skills and extreme competitiveness of Michael Schumacher...the result was 5 world championships.
Similarly, the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) had developed a tarnished image with Max Mosley's combative and argumentative attitude with the F1 teams and of course his own personal scandal.
Todt will bring fresh perspective to the FIA.
Keep it going Jean!
