All that media hype about Shah Rukh being "King Khan" should now be put to rest permanently. The last decade has clearly demonstrated Aamir Khan's superior acting skills on a consistent basis from the standpoint of Quality, Innovation and Creativity. With an array of great hits (Dil Chahta Hai, Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, Ghajini, & now 3 idiots) under his belt...and with Shah Rukh not having to show much...the verdict is clearly in favor of Aamir.
Also, recently Business Today magazine has put Aamir's pay check per movie at Rs. 20 crore and fee per brand endorsement at Rs. 12 crore...this is far superior in comparison with Shah Rukh's price tag per movie at only Rs. 12 crore and fee per brand endorsement at Rs. 7 crore. The cover article and that too in a business magazine indicates Shah Rukh has become more of a businessman and has clearly lost out on the art of acting and filmmaking. Shah Rukh has been reduced to becoming just a money making machine and clearly lacking in quality movie making.
